What is the difference between a hypnotist and a hypnotherapist?
A hypnotist works primarily with suggestions and visualizations, whereas a certified hypnotherapist works with suggestions, visualizations, interactive deep exploration and personal growth.

Can you really help me to quit smoking?
If you really WANT to stop then yes, I can.

Are you sure you can put me into a state of hypnosis?
It depends on your desire to follow the suggestions which may lead you into a wonderful state of total relaxation! A client who participates, also takes responsibility, therefore anyone can go into a hypnotic state or resist.

Won't I be under someone else's control?
You are never under someone else's control because you will not and cannot be made to do or say anything that you don't want to. You will have full awareness and be in complete control and you will get exactly what you need. Hypnotherapy enables you to access your subconscious mind through deep relaxation.

Won't I be unconscious?
You are never unconscious. Hypnosis is a 100% NATURAL phenomenon of the body that occurs in each of us twice a day...everyday of our lives: right before you wake up in the morning and right before you fall asleep at night. It is a natural relaxed state of mind and body.

What does hypnosis feel like ... or ... How can I tell if I'm hypnotized? Many of us experience a trance-like state. Here are some personal feelings one may experience when in a hypnotic state:
  1. Deep relaxation (Body muscles feel relaxed).
  2. Mental relaxation.
  3. Fluttering of eyelids.
  4. General feeling of drowsiness as if ready to doze.
  5. Eyelids heavy (lack of desire to open them).
  6. Eyes tearing.
  7. Relaxed jaw.
  8. Desire to swallow.
  9. Desire to scratch an itch.
  10. State of well-being.
  11. Tingling or numbness in any portion of body.
  12. Body feels heavy.
  13. Body warmth or chill.
  14. Feeling of personal freedom, carefree or uninhibited.
  15. Letting go.
  16. Occasional involuntary yawn.
  17. Sense of lightness.
  18. Sense of floating.
I've seen those TV shows where people act like chickens... will that happen to me?
No. I do therapeutic hypnotherapy, and no one can make you do something that you don't want to do.
